A Celebration of the Saxophone Ensemble!
Now in its sixth year the University of Huddersfield Saxophone Day is moving to a Sunday. In 2019 we will celebrate the saxophone ensemble, from duo to orchestra.

Directed by Sarah Markham, the day will feature solo performances by Sarah Markham, Quirk Saxophone Quartet, Equinox Saxophone Ensemble, Yorkshire Saxophone Choir, and a mass saxophone orchestra formed on the day. There will be workshops, talks, and interactive events through the day.
Pianist Paul Turner will run a session on working with a pianist, and there will be a chance to be accompanied by him. ABRSM examiner Matthew McGuffie will give a talk on how to prepare for a music grade examination. There will be anAerophone (Roland’s digital wind instrument) demonstration by Alistair Parnell.
